Campaigns in York South–Weston are won at the door and on the phone, by neighbours talking to neighbours. If you can give an hour, you can help. No experience needed, and the team will show you everything.
What volunteering looks like
- Flexible shifts that fit around work, school, and family.
- Training and materials provided, so you are never sent in cold.
- You choose how you help, and you can change your mind any time.
- Youth volunteers are welcome, and hours can count toward community service.
Canvassing
Knock on doors with a partner, share Sileen's platform, and listen to what neighbours raise. The single highest-impact thing you can do.
Phone & text outreach
Reach residents from wherever you are. Ideal if you would rather not be out walking, or you only have short pockets of time.
Events & signs
Help set up and staff community events, hand out literature, and get lawn signs delivered and installed across the ward.
Skills & trades
Design, photography, data entry, driving, translation, or baking for an event. Tell us what you are good at and we will find the fit.
